Why your views matter
If you love the arts - shout about it!
Essex Summer of Art is devised and managed by volunteer groups and artists alongside local councils. In these hard economic times, councils are under pressure to save money. This has resulted in reduced funding for the arts. Now more than ever it is important to demonstrate how the creative industries contribute to the economy both locally and nationally. Every art trail, exhibition event and artist studios is involved in collecting evaluation forms that not only helps to improve Essex Summer of Art but will help make the case that the arts are vital to cultural and economic life of Essex.
