Course description, key stages and target audience

This course is not relevant for practitioners working in school-based settings.

The Essex Safeguarding Children’s Board’s recommended safeguarding course at level 2 is aimed at members of the workforce who work predominantly with children, young people and / or their parents / carers and who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and reviewing the needs of a child and parenting capacity where there are safeguarding concerns.

Safeguarding level 1

The safeguarding level 1 free online course is now available on the ESCB website accompanied by an updated power point presentation.

To ensure you are aware of current guidance and the effective support document in Essex, please ensure you read the power point presentation alongside completing the online course. Both are available on the ESCB website.

We are now offering virtual classroom L2 Safeguarding training. Just like the face to face training, the virtual course is delivered by an experienced Reconstruct trainer in a class room style via a virtual platform.

In the same way as face to face training allows for group work, open discussion and the sharing of videos and case studies our virtual training offers the same experience.

Time of training: 9:30 till 15:30 – You will need to join the virtual room at 9:15 to sign in
