Exploring Familial Domestic Abuse Across the Lifespan

Target audience: Frontline workers, managers and people working with victims, families and perpetrators of domestic abuse.

Aims: 

  • Increase understanding of familial domestic abuse as a significant but often hidden form of abuse, to improve identification, support and coordinated responses.
  • Increase understanding of the barriers that prevent family members from seeking help and support.
  • Understand the importance of early intervention, prevention and whole-family approaches in addressing familial domestic abuse.
  • For learning to be shared and applied to practice within organisations.

Allocation of conference spaces

Conference places are limited; however, we aim to ensure representation from as wide a range of agencies as possible. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email with joining details in the first week of November

This conference will discuss domestic abuse and may include references to traumatic experiences that some attendees may find distressing. Participants are encouraged to consider their wellbeing and access appropriate support if required.

Charging Policy

This is a free event but late notice cancellations and non-attendance will incur a charge. You will need to complete payment information upon applying for a space, this information will only be used if you cancel your place with less than 15 working days’ notice or do not attend on the day.
