ESCB Training: Child Protection Conference Training in Essex- 11th March 2025, 9.30am - 11.30am, Clacton (in person)

Overview

Please ensure you have read the ESCB Charging and Cancellation policy before completing this application, as non-attendance or late-notice cancellation will result in a charge. 

The workshops are facilitated by Essex County Councl Child Protection Co-ordinators and will give you the opportunity to meet with the Child Protection Coordinator that covers your area.

Target audience: Anyone working with children and families in Essex who would like to better understand the strengths based approach to child protection conferences and core groups

Learning outcomes: 

• It will give you a better understanding of how the conference and reviews work including expectations of professionals, the family, statutory and voluntary services.
• If you are supporting an adult and children who may have Social Care involvement, then you may be asked to attend a conference to give your professional opinion relating to the support that you are giving and a recommendation in relation to threshold of significant harm
