Climate Action Plan and Annual Report Launch

Overview

Essex County Council (ECC) is pleased to announce the launch of the new Climate Action Plan 2025–2028, alongside our Annual Report 2025.

The new Climate Action Plan sets out ECC’s commitments to delivering Essex’s sustainability targets over the next three years. It tracks the progress of climate initiatives introduced in previous plans that are still underway, while also outlining new actions beginning in the 2025 financial year.

The Annual Report highlights the progress made since the last reporting period, using data, updates and case studies to showcase achievements since the Commission’s report was published in 2021. It also looks ahead to the year to come, detailing planned actions and priorities
