Community Energy in Essex

Overview

Over the next few weeks, we are celebrating the work of our community energy groups across Essex as part of the nationwide Community Energy Fortnight. This year, the theme of Community Energy Fortnight focuses on empowerment. Community energy projects help to empower local people by giving them control over their energy supply.

They not only help towards our journey to become net zero, but they can also support with other areas such as fuel poverty, developing green skills in the community and creating local energy jobs. Essex now has 21 Community Energy Groups and the network is rapidly expanding.

Join us at our virtual event on Monday 29 July 5-6pm to find out more about the role of community energy and how you can get involved!
