SETDAB Domestic Abuse Champion Network Development Workshop

Overview

The development of a multi‑agency Champion Network supports our SETDAB Strategy 2025–2030, which prioritises strengthening multi‑agency systems and improving how partners work together to respond to domestic abuse. Creating a network of champions helps turn these commitments into action by building shared awareness and strengthening collaboration.

We would like to invite agencies across Southend, Essex and Thurrock to help shape the development of a partnership DA Champion Network.

This in person event will take place on Tuesday 12 May 2026, 9:30am- 12:30pm in Chelmsford. (Venue to be confirmed)

Workshop focus:

  1. What should a multi‑agency champion network look like?
  2. What are the strengths and opportunities of developing this network?
  3. What would the expectations/role of a DA Champion be?
  4. How do we harness existing DA champions/leads into a wider multi‑agency network?
  5. What would organisations and people need to support them in taking on a champion role?
  6. How can we expand the reach of the SETDAB partnership across agencies and in communities?
