Overview

Working in partnership with the Templefields Multi Academy Trust, Essex County Council and the senior leadership team of Harlowbury Primary School are exploring the possibility of relocating the Academy to a site adjacent to its current one from September 2021, and expanding it (on a phased basis) by 30 Reception places per year, until it reaches a full capacity of 420 places in September 2027.  The new location would be on the Gilden Way development, within 300 metres of the Academy's current Watlington Road site.

Why your views matter

All parties agree that the principle of relocating and expanding Harlowbury Primary School should be explored with the local community, as delivering these proposals would overcome issues with the existing buildings and would improve the educational offer to parents by providing a high quality learning environment to serve an increased number of local children for many years to come.
