Overview

[Please note this survey is for people from a variety of different ethnic and faith backgrounds, aged 18+ and living in Essex who have used or tried to use businesses and services]

Essex County Council (ECC) is looking to learn from and engage better with Essex residents and understand what life is like in Essex for people from different ethnic & faith backgrounds.  We wish to talk with Essex residents over the age of 18 yearswho are willing to share their experiences and views. This is an opportunity to get your voice heard on what matters to you and for us to understand views from across our diverse communities

The research will be a discussion with a researcher for around 1 hour.  The research will help us to understand what is important to you and your family to have an ideal life, your experiences of the businesses and services (such as healthcare, education, jobs, libraries, emergency services, shops, banks and/or sports clubs etc) that you wish to or do use, what you have found challenging, how your experiences may differ from your neighbours or community and your ideas on how things can be improved.

This discussion can happen in-person, online or by phone call, whichever works for you best.  If you need an interpreter or a friend to support you we will arrange this for you.

If you are interested in taking part in this research, please use this survey to provide us with your details.  Although you will not receive a reward for completing this survey,  if you are selected for the research we will give you a £30 e-voucher on completion of the discussion we have with you, as a thank you for your time.

Every voice matters. Your views are important to us and will be used to drive conversations that inform our policies, the way we work and improve the way we engage with and listen to people from diverse ethnic & faith backgrounds going forward.

The details you provide us will be kept confidential and only used for this research purpose. Providing contact details does not mean you have to participate in the research, you are free with withdraw at any time.

Please be aware that we may not be able to contact everyone who has completed this survey.  For those that are selected for the research we will be in touch to provide you with more information about the research.

Thank you for your time and interest in taking part in our research!
