Residents’ Survey - Care in the community

Closes 28 Feb 2025

Opened 4 Dec 2024

Overview

Residents' survey - Care in the community.

The council is currently conducting a Residents’ Survey targeting a sample of 1,000 residents from across the county. The survey asks residents about their neighbourhood and attitudes towards care in the community.

The council has commissioned Opinion Research Services (ORS), an independent social research company, to contact residents by email and conduct the telephone interviews.

To ensure a cross section of Essex’s population is represented, ORS use a randomly selected sample of addresses and landlines provided from the telephone exchanges, as well as purchasing lists from other commercially available sources.

Essex County Council has not provided any customer contact details for this research.

The sample will use quota targets to ensure we speak to the right proportion of people in terms of age, gender, working status and area to ensure the achieved sample is representative of the overall Essex population.

Why your views matter

The council wants to know how you feel about your local community and your views on how we provide care for people.

Give us your views

If ORS contact you, please make the time to take part in the survey. Your views and opinions will inform the development of future care services. For each person completing online, £5 will be donated a local charity. Your input and time in this research will be greatly appreciated.

If you would like more information on how the survey is being administered you can also visit ORS' FAQ page or for information about how Essex County Council is seeking to change outcomes across health and social care see www.essex.gov.uk/adult-social-care-and-health/essex-caring-communities-commission
