Wraparound Revenue
Overview
The government’s ambition is, that by 2026, all parents and carers of primary aged children will be able to access Ofsted registered term time childcare in their local area. Wraparound childcare will be offered, to meet the needs of local families as a minimum of 3 days per week, during term time. With a minimum of 30 mins before the school day and 90 minutes after the school day This needs to be available to all children whose parents require it, including children with SEND. The aim is to make it easier for parents to access employment.
Essex County Council have been allocated funding for the creation of new, fully inclusive provisions within the County. The funding will be for revenue expenditure only.
