Consultation on bus service 505 - Monday to Friday Only

Overview

Essex County Council (ECC) are proposing to adjust the first morning school/non-school journey on service 505 (Monday to Friday only) from Waltham Cross to Harlow and also Harlow to Waltham Cross (which currently differ on school and non-school days). The proposal is to replace these journeys with one journey in each direction which is the same on school days and non-school days (so there would still be the same total number of journeys on the timetable, which do not change depending on whether operating on a school day or non-school day).

From Harlow to Waltham Cross, ECC proposes to change the resulting first morning journey so it travels along Water Lane, no longer travelling around the Katherines and Sumners loops. ECC also propose some timing adjustments to all journeys on the timetable, to make the service more reliable overall for passengers.

ECC would like to hear from passengers to share your views on any impact this might have on yourself or anyone you know who rely on these journeys.
