Overview

The workshops are facilitated by Essex County Council Local Authority Designated Officers (LADOs)

Target audience: anyone with responsibility for staff or volunteers who work with children

Learning outcomes: 

• To enable participants to understand what legislation and procedures underpin the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)
• To assist participants to develop an understanding of their responsibilities when an allegation is made about a member of staff/volunteer
• To understand the role of the LADO within the context of managing allegations against the children’s workforce
