ESAB - Designated Safeguarding Adults Leads: 27.11.2025 (10am-4pm)
Overview
This is a virtual course (delivered via Zoom) and cost is £40.00 per person.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the training participants will:
- Be aware of the safeguarding duties and responsibilities in the Care Act
- Understand how to respond to safeguarding concerns, including
- What is and isn’t a safeguarding concern
- Managing allegations against staff
- Supporting staff when dealing with safeguarding issues and
- What is the difference between a complaint and a safeguarding concern
- Explore the difficult balance between safety and choice and control for individuals
- Know about Making Safeguarding Personal and be able to apply this to real life practice
- Know about the law around information sharing.
Please note: There is a booking limit of 5 participants per organisation for each session. If your organisation wishes to book more than 5 participants, please book places on alternative sessions (all dates available on the ESAB website). If there are no alternative sessions available, or your group far exceeds the booking limit of 5, please contact ESAB on: esab.training@essex.gov.uk to discuss further.
