Hate Crime Survey
Overview
Hate crime can have a devastating impact on the victim, their family and their wider community.
Through the Essex Strategic Hate Crime Prevention Partnership, local agencies are committed to tackling this crime and supporting victims. Whilst hate crimes reported to Essex Police have reduced, we also know that people do not always want to or feel that they can report them, including reporting where they have been a witness or a victim themselves.
This survey is part of a wider research project to help us get a better understanding of hate crime across Southend, Essex & Thurrock and enable us to prioritise how we work together going forward.
We want to hear your views – even if you have not been a victim of a hate crime yourself.
