Application
This form should be completed if you wish to apply to participate in the Leading Greater Essex programme. Your nominating sponsor i.e. CEO or alternative from your organisation should have agreed to you making the application.
Applicants and sponsors are requested to consider, discuss and agree the following requirements before submitting completed application forms:
Nomination criteria
- In senior and/or strategic role across the public or voluntary sector (and have the support of their employer to participate).
- Passionate about making a difference for the residents of Essex and want to play their part in working across the Greater Essex system.
- Recognise the complexity in which we operate and that deep seated challenges cannot be tackled in a vacuum-alone, by any one single organisation.
- Curious, including being open to ideas, provocations and perspectives beyond their own control and that of their organisations,
- Keen to learn, willing to look inside and challenge themselves, as well as contribute to the learning of others.
- Can fit the programme schedule into their work calendar.
- Have support from your senior manager and/or Chief Officer to join the programme.
Commitment and attendance
- Participant fee of £2,000 will be paid on acceptance onto the programme and will be non-refundable (NB; VCS applicants can apply for one of five bursary funded places)
- Applicants will be required to commit to attending the sessions detailed in the brochure
- Completion of this form confirms acceptance of commitment and attendance requirements; in seeking and accepting a place on the programme applicants are making an important commitment to be part of an active learning community. Full participation in the programme is compulsory, absence will be authorised in exceptional circumstances
- Organisational sponsors will receive regular updates on the progress of LGE, including any attendance or commitment concerns
Submission and further information
- Completed application forms should be submitted online by midday on 8th January 2025. Applicants will then be contacted directly to confirm the outcome of their application and receive further information. In the event that we receive more nominations than there are places we will review nominations in terms of organisational representation and spread and will set up a waiting list for future cohorts of the programme
