Maths and Maths Difficulties Booking Request Autumn 2024
Overview
We want all children and young people in Essex to:
- have high quality maths teaching;
- have their individual needs identified and met early on, if they have maths difficulties despite appropriate learning opportunities;
- get the help they need to make progress in maths.
This course is designed to enable all Essex schools to:
- be up-to-date with current research-based practice on effective teaching of maths for all pupils, as well as those with maths difficulties. This includes addressing questions around dyscalculia;
- ensure that their school has effective maths assessment in place;
- ensure that their school has effective evidence-based intervention in place to support children who have maths difficulties (will include signposting to the Essex EPS Maths Intervention training).
