Young Carers Survey

Closed 23 Dec 2021

Opened 25 Nov 2021

Overview

Essex County Council wants your views about being a young carer. The things you tell us will help us develop the service in supporting you even more.

If you help someone in your home with shopping, cooking, cleaning, personal care, fetching, carrying, giving cuddles and helping someone feel better in themselves, then you are an amazing young carer.

This survey is divided into sections. The first is about you (but not your name), and the second is about your experiences of caring for someone.

The reason we ask information about you is to make sure we are listening to as many different people as we can from all ages. We even sent a questionnaire to the adults that care for people and talked to people who already help young carers in a variety of roles.

If you are under 16, please get your parent/carers permission for you to take part in this survey.

Why your views matter

Once we have all the surveys back, we will be able to look at what you say and change how we do things to make it better. But first we will let you know what everyone said just to check we haven’t missed anything important someone may have said.

Thank you for helping us by completing this survey.
