SP-EAK Suicide Prevention – Explore, Ask, Keep-Safe

Target audience: anyone working with children or adults

The workshop aims to prepare participants to identify those with thoughts of suicide, respond effectively and connect them with support.

Learning outcomes:

  • To consider our attitudes around suicide
  • To recognise the ‘signs’ that may indicate someone is having thoughts of suicide
  • To talk openly about suicide with that person and how we ask about those thoughts
  • To understand how to listen to someone talking about suicide
  • To support safety (and a safety plan) with someone thinking of suicide

There are reduced rate places per course for those organisations who are members of Essex Council for Voluntary Youth Services (ECVYS). Please indicate if you are a member of ECYVS in question 5.

The venue will be advised when your place has been confirmed.
